For this poster, the project was to create a poster promoting any event of our choosing, while also incorporating a specific art period. I decided to use an event that I helped coordinate & host the previous summer while interning at WGBH Boston. This event, Brainiacs & Brews, took over local breweries for a night of trivia and puzzles. For this event it was at Medusa Brewing Company, in which I redesigned their logo in Photoshop to be more three dimensional and eye catching. I then used the circles and old school font choice to bring in aspects of Art Nouveau, as well as painting hops in a very flat but detailed way to have a similar style as many Art Nouveau pieces. I composed the poster as a whole using Illustrator.
