My Own Words by Ruth Bader Ginsburg

For this project, we were asked to redesign a book jacket of our book of choice. I chose the book I was reading at the time, My Own Words by the late Associate Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. My inspiration for this cover was RBG’s boldness, from her word choice in legal matters to the way she defied social norms and expectations. I also tried to capture the entity and essence of her power, which was so much greater than strictly her human being. I painted the collar and glasses in Photoshop, and created the layout for the book jacket using InDesign.
