SPARK: Senior Thesis
My senior thesis is a book and animated poster series using augmented reality. The concept for this thesis came out of my strong sense of feminism and my desire to explore a new medium of digital illustration.
Throughout this process, I used various brush tools in Photoshop to come up with my distinct style. I then used InDesign to create the layouts for my book and my posters. Finally, I used After Effects to create the animations that paired with the photos, so when you focus your camera on the image using the Artivive app, they will animate.
Book Layouts
Here are a few spreads of the coffee table sized book I created for this project. I incorporated articles either by or about the woman I depicted, and used color and typography to allow for a distinct look following each portrait, while also creating cohesion throughout the book as a whole.
